Appian Creek and San Pablo Watershed Mural, Project title WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER
I live right next to Appian creek in El Sobrante CA, Appian is a year round creek that is part of the San Pablo Watershed, a vast and complex network that reaches far and wide.
This mural, ” Titled We Are All In This Together” imagines a Birds Eye view of our watershed from Orinda to Richmond harbor. Swooping down we can see the creek aglow, surrounded by an array of species native to our community, all of us are part of the watershed, together.
These ghost like animals, not only pay homage to California’s wild past and harmony with indigenous human communities , their glowing spirits represent a hope for the future.
